Don Bosco Vocational Training Institute, Najafgarh is one of the many vocational training institutes for youth conducted by the Salesians of Don Bosco. Currently the Salesians of Don Bosco are engaged in the work of education in over 130 countries of the world. At Najafgarh the institute was established in 1999 by the Salesian province of New Delhi through the help of DMOS.COMMIDE from Belgium. The aim of Don Bosco Yuva Kendra is the all round formation of the students with a special emphasis on skill training.
The Institute is accredited by NIOS (Reg.No. AVI 990097) and by VTP, Skill Development Initiative Scheme(SDIS) based on Modular Employable Skills under Reg.No.DLSW028.
It is an unaided minority Christian institution, open to students of all communities. Special efforts are made to ensure all-round training of the students to enable them to grow up as good human beings and useful and honest citizens.
Through the 17 courses that are offered the Institute trains the youth to employable skills and thus empowers them to become part of the main stream of the society. The course modules are planned carefully keeping in mind the market demands and the changing scenario.
